Graduation Celebration

Monday, June 14th, 2010

graduation

There are perhaps three pivotal moments in a young person’s life. The day they receive their Florida driver’s license and when they make the transition from a student to high school or college graduate. These events represent pride and self-worth, and bring them closer to their eventual independence and adulthood.

.

Parents experience a sense of relief and accomplishment also, though most likely for different reasons than that of their graduate. However, graduation celebration is a high priority for both, and there are many ways in which families can celebrate this momentous day.

.

Graduation celebrations in Tampa Bay, Ft. Myers and Sarasota can be amazing. Many Floridian graduates opt to head out in style in a limo. A popular choice in the limo line is the Hummer limo and loading up 20 friends to go turn that tassel together strikes the perfect chord of fun and excitement. You and your fellow graduates, friends, or family can enjoy stereo surround sound and iPod, TV, DVD hookup, and even rock graduation day with the Karaoke system that comes with the limousine experience.

.

After graduation, why not explore Sarasota’s marina and watch the dolphins at play, or go see the Jungle Gardens. Spread out on a ten-acre park, this tropical paradise is home to swaying palm trees, bubbling springs, exotic birds, alligators and huge snakes. In addition, they have nightly animal shows, shops and cafes.
Located on the Caloosahatchee River, a “must see” is Fort Myers, also known as The City of Palms. The natural beauty and tropical climate, combined with a vast array of downtown shopping, is the perfect way to experience the flavor of old Florida.

.

The pampered feeling that riding in a limo has never faded with time. For years, only the wealthy among us could afford this luxury, but these days, a Hummer Limo is an affordable extravagance that can make any graduate feel like Hollywood royalty.

Father’s Day Fun

fathers-day1

Father’s Day has existed for as long as most can remember, but did you know that its creation wasn’t all that long ago? In 1909, a young woman named Sonora Smart Dodd felt inspired while hearing a Mother’s Day sermon. Because she had been raised by her father, she didn’t see why the same kind of holiday couldn’t be reserved for men, as well. It did not become official immediately, but eventually it evolved into the holiday everybody observes today.

.

So what can you do with your father on this special day? No matter what you choose, why not take him around in style in a limo. No matter the model, be it Ford Excursion limo or a Hummer H2 limo, it is guaranteed that he will be thrilled with the experience.

.

Here are some fun things to do with the special dad in your life:

  • Tampa Bay Rays Game – If your dad loves baseball, why not take him out to the ballgame? He might even catch a homerun on his special day.
  • Busch Gardens Tampa - Does the experience of falling at super speeds excite him? Are thrills just as important as taking daily vitamins? Then you may want to consider Busch Gardens. Spend your day riding the rides, eating tasty treats, and just taking the opportunity to bond with dad.
  • Ft. Myers Beach -Does dad love to relax? Consider spending the day at Ft. Myers beach for some sun and fun with dad.
  • Night out with Dad – Why not take dad for a special dinner at a steakhouse or a seafood restaurant? Treat him to his favorite food, drinks, and maybe even some dessert!

.

No matter what their age, your father deserves to know that you and other family members care about him. Surprise him with a limo ride and take him somewhere to make the overall encounter unforgettable. Let dad relax and put his feet up and skip the driving for a change. Ft. Myers Limo offers luxury, comfort and fun for dad. He can listen to his favorite music in the stereo surround sound and iPod hookup, watch a DVD, or even sing Karaoke if he wanted to. Let your dad know how special he is by reserving a Ft. Myers Limo for Father’s Day.

A Memorable Memorial Day

Thursday, April 22nd, 2010

memorial-day

Memorial Day is a day to make memories and remember those who died in service to our country. Originally, known as Decoration Day, it became a National holiday in 1971 when Congress passed the National Holiday Act. It is celebrated on the last Monday in May. There are many different ways you can honor these heroes in the Tampa Bay Area.

.

Tampa, Florida
Consider visiting the Spanish-American War Memorial at Myrtle Hill Cemetery. During the war, Tampa was used as a port for soldiers; as many as 30,000 soldiers passed through Tampa on their way to Cuba. There are approximately 100 warriors buried in this cemetery; consider bringing some American flags to decorate the site.

.

St. Petersburg, Florida
World War II is often known as Hitler’s War. Hundreds of thousands of American soldiers died during this war. The Florida Holocaust Museum is located in St. Petersburg, Florida on 5th Street. The museum offers a history of the Holocaust including the events that happened during World War II and the American involvement in the war.

.

Sarasota, Florida
If you prefer water over land, consider visiting the Sarasota/Venice coast where The Bayronto sank. This was a British freighter that had been torpedoed by the Germans. The ship was traveling from Texas with grain for the soldiers. The vessel is now a diving site filled with a tropical paradise.

.

Plan a family gathering and leave the driving to Ft. Myers Limo. Our Hummer H2 Limo can accommodate your entire gang. Make this a memorable Memorial day by including Ft. Myers Limo Service in your plans.
